Hi Sport Aircraft Club Members,
The biennial Avalon Airshow has just finished and it seems that those who attended including myself were happy and enjoyed the event. Regular and free shuttle buses between camping the Avalon East landing ground and the airshow made getting around easy. Plenty to look at, good displays and military reenactments.
Next meeting is the club Annual General Meeting and your council urges you to attend and to make sure your annual club subscription is paid prior to the meeting so that you will have voting rights at the meeting. It also helps to meet our planning and ongoing club expenses when the subs are paid promptly.
Club fly away to Chapman River Wines at Antechamber Bay on Kangaroo Island is planned for Sunday the 15th March from 11am to 4pm. Presently we have 8 aircraft with approximately 18 people indicating their interest. Details are on the club website. It is 20 or 30 minute flight for most people – simply arrive order lunch and enjoy a chat with club members. Please let me know as soon as possible that you are coming for catering.
The club Sonex project is in full swing again painting polishing and fit out continues. Instruments are expected this week and the engine is about to be bolted to the airframe. Everyone is welcome to attend a building session even if it is just for a chat.
See you at the AGM.
