Hi Sport Aircraft Club members
Last weekend the club Sonex workshop visit was well attended by members and others interested in the progress of the club built Sonex aircraft. For those that couldn’t attend the aircraft is now finished in the cabin area and the windscreen is being fitted this week. The fuel system is almost complete just waiting on the sender probe and tank to firewall connection to be installed. The electrical system is complete except for connection of the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) sensors and CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) sensors. Still a few jobs to be done including painting the fairings and cowls, polishing, instrument calibration, wing refitting and final fit of fuselage floor. If you are interested in building or just looking- come along while the build team is still working.
Monthly dinner meeting is next Wednesday 10th June. Ed Herring in his role as pilot instructor will be talking about what’s involved with transition training for various categories so that you can fly the club Sonex when it is finished and ready for club members. Don’t forget to book you meal with Steve Biele.
Next club flying event is a short trip to Graham and Robyn’s airstrip set for Sunday 5th of July bring your own lunch and plan to land around 11am to 12 noon. Details at the club meeting.
Look forward to seeing everyone at next weeks meeting and remember visitors are welcome.

Within all of us is a varying amount of space lint and star dust, the residue from our creation. Most are too busy to notice it, and it is stronger in some than others. It is strongest in those of us who fly and is responsible for an unconscious, subtle desire to slip into some wings and try for the elusive boundaries of our origin. ~K.O.
