Presidents Report December 2016

The Bendleby Ranges Station fly in was a great jaunt for people wanting to get away to the country for one or two days. Seven or eight aircraft made the trip and were rewarded with country hospitality and a view of station life by our hosts Jane and Warren. See website for photos.

On the 11th of November we held the annual awards Christmas dinner at the Citi Zen restaurant . Good attendance by club members with the best completed aircraft going to the club Sonex and the Judith King award for outstanding service to the club going to Greg Tabe our treasurer. Fun night with lots of prizes from our supporting sponsors. Photos on the website.

The club built Sonex aircraft is available to fly by club members contact myself or Chris Dearden if you are interested in flying the aircraft or even just going for a ride.

Please renew your club membership for the next year. Cost has gone up a little for the first time in five years. This one of the best value clubs you can join with membership for a year set at just $70. Christmas flying brunch is on the 18th of December at Murray Bridge Airport Windsock Lounge with a BBQ and salads. Fly in aircraft are welcome. The club Sonex will be on show. This is a great chance to introduce a friend or young person to flying and the Sport Aircraft Club.
