Those members that attended Edward and Milton’s workshop visit were treated to an amazing view of aircraft construction from fiberglass carefully assembled with the ingenuity and craftsmanship renowned from the King’s workshop. There was time for questions and awe at the construction that has materialized over a couple of years. With the engine in place and the control system operational we expect to see another unique aircraft flying in the near future. Thanks to Judith for the afternoon tea and cakes which made the visit even more pleasant.
The Avalon International airshow takes place this weekend if you want to fly in get the details from the airshow website.
Club meeting next Wednesday promises to be excellent with John Hardy from Hardy Aviation giving an “Angel Flight Presentation”. Angel Flight is an organisation that utilizes pilots and drivers willing to provide their time and vehicles to aid people who would otherwise have great difficulty in meeting their medical appointments.
This meeting is also our annual general meeting. Voting should not be required unless we have a number of last minute nominations for council. Give me a call or email if you are interested in supporting your club as a council member.
If you want to fly the club Sonex aircraft let a myself or a council member know so we can arrange a trial introductory flight and or transition as required.
More information on the upcoming Safari to Maralinga at the club meeting.
Once again we have a great line up of speakers for this year, keep monitoring the website and newsletters.
