Presidents Report April 2014

April has been a busy month with the Naracoorte fly away taking a group of avid flyers to the South East of South Australia where the Naracoorte Aeroclub put on an Angus steak BBQ on arrival. Free time Saturday afternoon allowed members to walk around the town or just sit and chat. Sunday morning we visited the world heritage fossil cave site. Nice uneventful flight home Sunday afternoon. Some pictures are now on the club website.

The club Sonex build project is getting great support and it was pleasing to see some younger faces  last Saturday with Liam and James putting in a great effort to get the left-wing ready for the skins. Don’t forget to drop in if you are near the Burnside Village Shopping Centre any Saturday or Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Club meeting and dinner next Wednesday Robert Wintulich is the speaker and the topic is:

Sport Aircraft Club of SA — Planes, People, Purpose – Pictorial Postscript

Rob is an interesting accomplished speaker/photographer and with many thousands of club photo’s going back many years. This will be an interesting and informative extraction from his huge database delivered with something for every one in the audience to enjoy.

Also workshop visit 25th of this month (May). Possibly the last chance to see a Lancair4P (4 seat pressurized and air conditioned homebuilt) together with Dave Limmers Komet jet. Please don’t forget to email Dave Limmer from the event notification on our website to let the hosts know you are coming.
