Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser

Hi

The Club has been invited by the Activities Co-ordinator from Bunnings Windsor Gardens to conduct another sausage sizzle at the Windsor Gardens warehouse on the following date:
  • Saturday 24th September 2022.
Bunnings require that the BBQ be operational from 9:00am to 4:00pm as a minimum. As additional time will also be required to set up and clean up afterwards, we are seeking volunteers to fill 2 shifts of approximately 4 – 4 ΒΌ hours as follows:
  • 8:30 am – 12:45 pm
  • 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
We are required to have a minimum of 4 volunteers for each shift, but ideally 5.

If you are willing to volunteer your services for either shift on the above date, can you please click here to Email Greg Tabe as soon as possible (or via the Club website) as we have already agreed to conduct the BBQ, due to the limited time granted to confirm our ability to do so, and if we need to cancel for any reason, i.e. due to lack of volunteers, must provide a minimum of 2 weeks notice.

The BBQs are a bit of fun and only take up a few hours of your time, whilst providing a valuable financial contribution to the Club's finances and helping to promote it.

As you may be aware, Bunnings recently increased the prices for sausages from $2.50 to $3.50. This was the first change in pricing granted by Bunnings in 15 years. Based on our last BBQ held in March, and with all other things being equal, this change could yield close to a further $500 net profit to the Club. Our last BBQ generated a net profit of $971, so the pricing change should make a substantial difference to the bottom line.

Thanks in advance for your help and support.
Regards

Steve Nelson

President
