Annual General Meeting Proceedings

• President’s Report.

• Treasurer’s Report and motion to approve the 2018 Financial Report.

• Seek members’ approval for the following 2 special resolutions to amend the Constitution.

To revoke clause 51 of the Constitution

“51. All cheques, bills of exchange and promissory notes shall be signed, drawn, made, accepted or endorsed (as the case may be) for and on behalf of the Club by two Councillors or in such other manner as the Council may from time to time determine.”

and replace it with the following substitute clause.

“51. All cheques, bills of exchange and promissory notes shall be signed, drawn, made, accepted or endorsed (as the case may be) for and on behalf of the Club by two Councillors.  Payments can be made by the electronic transfer of funds, provided such transfers are electronically authorised by two councillors.”

• To revoke clause 49 of the Constitution

“49. A notice may be given by the Club or the Council to any member either personally or by sending it by post addressed to him at his registered address. Where a notice is sent by post, service of the notice shall be deemed to be effected by properly addressing, prepaying and posting a letter containing the notice, and to have been effected in the case of a notice of a meeting at the expiration of twenty-four hours after the letter containing the same is posted, and in any other case at the time at which the letter would be delivered in the ordinary course of post.”

and substitute it with the following substitute clause.

”49. A notice may be given by the Club or the Council to any member either personally, by email, or by sending it by post addressed to the member at his or her registered address.  Notices sent by email shall be deemed to have been served on the date on which the email is successfully transmitted.  Where a notice is sent by post, service of the notice shall be effected by properly addressing, prepaying and posting a letter containing the notice, and shall be deemed to have been served at the expiration of the Australia Post delivery service standard applicable at the time of mailing.”

• Retirement of all current Councillors

• Nominations for new Councillors

• Election of new Councillors.
